Action Button
We are excited to announce our new Action Button is now live, giving you faster access to the tools you use the most!
This update, inspired by feedback from our users, allows you to quickly access different parts of the app on mobile via the Action Button at the bottom of the screen.
Some examples of what you can do in fewer clicks:
- Create AI Maintenance tasks
- Create new shifts
- Create or approve shift notes
- Submit or approve leave
- Manage visitors or suppliers
👉 The Action Button works alongside your existing navigation without disrupting anything. It makes getting things done faster and simpler and in less clicks.

End Of Year Preparations
We are excited to announce our upcoming end-of-year preparation support from Alkimii!
As we approach the end of the year, we will be providing some resources to help you prepare for payroll, holiday balance cutover, and auto-enrolment pensions for 2026.
1. End Of Year Payroll
We will be sharing a new video early next week where our Head of Customer Success, Katie Hatch, will be running through the below for payroll preparation:
- Christmas & New Year Payroll Guidance including Time and a Half, Double & Triple Pay
- Public Holiday Auto-Roster Setup for 25 December, 26 December, and 1 January
- Pre-paying Christmas Week using Alkimii People
- New Pay Rates Screen with backdating and guidance on setting 2026 pay rates
- Holiday Balance Cutover for customers whose holiday year ends on 31 December
- How to amend holiday balances ahead of 2026
2. Cutover Holiday Balances
As the year is ending, now is the time to create your Holiday Cutover so your balances are accurate and ready for 2026.

3. Auto-Enrolment Pensions
From 1 January 2026, Alkimii will support payroll costing for the new Auto-Enrolment Pension scheme. You will be able to input an employee’s auto-enrolment pension percentage for costing purposes directly in Alkimii.
Alkimii will run validation checks including the employee’s age, salary, and whether they already have an existing pension recorded in Alkimii. If a pension is already set up through payroll, the auto-enrolment option will not appear.
Once entered, the employer pension cost will be included in Payroll Costs for your site, giving you clear visibility of the impact of auto-enrolment within your labour budget.

We are delighted to announce that new auto-enrolment pension support is now available in Alkimii, allowing you to input an employee’s auto-enrolment pension percentage for costing purposes directly in the Staff Profile.
This update is designed to give you visibility of employer pension contributions for your employees.
👉 Please note: employees that opt-out are subject to mandatory re-enrolment after two years.

This update is designed to give you visibility of employer pension contributions for your employees.
- Validation checks: Alkimii automatically checks age, salary thresholds, and whether an existing company pension is already recorded in the Staff Profile. If a company pension exists in Staff Profile, the auto-enrolment option will not appear.
- Clear payroll cost visibility: Employer pension contributions are automatically reflected in the Revenue Dashboard's Payroll Costs, helping you understand the impact on your labour budget.

We’re pleased to announce you can now set your Emergency Contact on mobile!
This update is designed to allow team members to update their Emergency Contact details on the go, making it faster and easier to stay compliant. This will work similarly to other personal contact information you can already update on mobile.

We’ve enhanced the Staff Profile list view, giving you greater flexibility and control over how team member information is displayed in Alkimii.
You can now customise your list by selecting the columns and information most relevant to you using the Toggle columns option. You can also create and save your own preferred view for quick access.
New columns are now available, including Payroll ID, Site, Job Title, and Email, along with a record count when filtering, making reporting and tracking easier.
Please note access to these options depends on your user permissions. If you do not see these settings and need access, please contact hello@alkimii.com.
