How to mark a Checklist task completed using NFC tags on mobile?

Once your checklist has been created and published on Alkimii and your NFC tags have been assigned, you can scan the tag once you have completed the checklist item to mark it complete.

Click on your device type to proceed to the relevant section 

 

Android Device

  • Unlock your mobile device 
  • Go up to the NFC tag and using the middle of your phone scan the NFC tag 
  • If successfully scanned, the Alkimii App will automatically open and load the checklist task item
  • If this task has been completed, you can tick the checkbox beside the task name. 

If your tag is in an area with limited internet availability, you can still scan the NFC tag offline and review these offline scanned tags once internet availability is back. 

  • This will now mark the task and all associated sub-tasks complete in the checklist
  • Your profile picture will now appear alongside a time and date stamp beside "Complete"

  • Any completed tasks that are assigned to an NFC tag, will change colour from grey to green once the task has been completed.

NFC Offline 

  • Scan the NFC tag as normal
  • Alkimii will automatically open on the device.
  • A successful green banner will appear at the top of the screen. 
  • A disclaimer will notify you that there is no internet signal however you can still scan NFCs as normal.

  • Once you have access to an internet connection, open the app on your mobile. 
  • On the home page you will see a pop-up informing you that NFC tags have been scanned in offline mode (without internet connection). 
  • Click "Review Tags" to link these scans up to their relevant checklist task 

  • If they have been completed, simply select "Save & Continue" 
  • The checklist task will now appear as complete using NFC tags with a time and date stamp  

 

iOS Device 

  • Unlock your mobile device 
  • Go up to the NFC tag and using the top of your iPhone scan the NFC tag 
  • If successfully scanned, an Alkimii notification will pop up on the screen, click on this to action the task in Alkimii

DISCLAIMER: You must click the notification in order to register that this was completed using NFC tags. 

If your tag is in an area with limited internet availability, you can still scan the NFC tag offline and review these offline scanned tags once internet availability is back.
