  • Why were collapsible departments removed?

In the initial version of the new roster, departments were collapsible to help with loading speed and navigation. However, customer feedback showed a strong preference for all departments to remain open, allowing for easier viewing and filtering without needing to expand each one. As a result, we removed the collapsible option and introduced smarter scrolling instead.

  •  How can my HODs track roster performance and costs during the week?

Once a roster is finalised, senior management can freeze the forecast, which captures a snapshot of the planned shifts. Any changes made during the week are then tracked in the analytics section, showing actual vs forecasted costs both graphically and numerically.

  •  Why am I seeing red shift warnings and unable to save shifts?

Red shift warnings indicate critical issues that prevent saving, such as expired visas, missing pay rates, or future start dates. These must be resolved before finalising the roster. Orange warnings, however, are alerts that may be bypassable, depending on your site’s setup.

  •  Can I see if a shift has been deleted?

Yes – under the “Shift Audit” in the Actions menu. It logs all changes, including who deleted the shift, when it was deleted, and any associated cost impact.

  •  How do shift change notifications work?

Notifications are only sent for changes to published shifts. Whether employees receive them depends on your site’s settings, but if enabled, they’ll receive notifications on their phone whenever a published shift is updated.

  •  I’ve saved the roster, but shifts aren’t showing in the app – why?

Shifts won’t appear in the app until the roster is published, which happens once senior management freezes the forecast. If another department hasn’t finalised their roster, it may delay the publishing process for everyone.

  •  Why do I see double times on the shifts in presets?

This usually happens when the preset title includes the shift time. To resolve this, edit the preset and select ‘Never show title’ – this will show only the shift time.

  •  Is there an alert to notify team members that the roster has been published?

No – team members only receive a notification when a change is made to a published shift.

  •  How do I enable budget view in roster analytics?

This is customisable per site - if you wish to display budget analytics please contact us at hello@alkimii.com.

  • Is there a way we can adjust rosters on the mobile version?

Yes, if a roster has been published you can make adjustments in the today's roster on mobile. This is useful for creating ad hoc shifts for absent coverage.
