How to create a Career Path?

This article will cover how to create a career path within Alkimii.

Please be advised that you can only send a career path from within the Staff Profile. 

Career Paths can only be set for a future date and not the past. 

When you set a career path in the future it will now apply from 6am. 

  • Using the mega menu, navigate to Staff Profile

  • From the staff list, locate the employee using the search bar or filter options available to you
  • Click on the Employees profile

  • Along the left navigation bar, select Career Paths 
  • On the top left, select "Add Promotion"

  • Enter the Job Details from the drop-down menus.
    • Job Title 
    • Department
    • The Start Date is the date the new role is due to start - this is the date these details will populate on the employee profile
    • If required, update the "Reports To User" field with their new manager 
    • Enter the probation period, if applicable 
    • Select the payment frequency 
    • Add the new contract type, which will populate some additional fields relating to the contract details. These may differ depending on contract type. 

Please be advised that the pay rate Annual/Weekly/Hourly must match the input on the Promotion Pack

    • Some Rates or Contract options vary based on the contract/rate type selected.

  • Update any benefits
    • The Pension option contains pre-configured percentages
    • Health Insurance and Other Contributions Weekly take a number-only input

  • Select a pack from the dropdown menu

Only Promotion Packs will be displayed in this dropdown menu. 

  • Once the pack has been selected you will have the ability to preview it before sending it out.

  • Promotions can still be amended or deleted prior to their start date using the edit or delete button.
