How to Update a Rate of Pay in the Staff Profile?

Rates of pay can be updated in 3 areas of Alkimii - the Employment Details, Future Pay Rates and Career Paths

  • Use the mega menu to open up Staff Profiles

  • Locate the employee by either scrolling through the list, using the filter options or the search bar function

  • Navigate to the Employment Details from the menu of the left

  • To the right of the screen, you will see the Pay Rate section. This will contain all current pay rate information for this employee.

  • Depending on the existing pay rate frequency set up this view may differ slightly. In this example, we have an employee on an hourly rate. To amend their Basic Rate of Pay, simply type in the figures accordingly. 
  • To change the rate frequyency, select the dropdown menu and choose the appropriate option.
  • Annual, Monthly & Weekly Rate - Enter a Fixed Salary amount and Save.
  • Hourly - Enter a basic rate of Pay (per hour) 
  • If a Sunday Rate is applicable, please make sure the box is ticked and an hourly rate is entered. 
  • If a Holiday Rate is applicable, please make sure the box is ticked and an hourly rate is entered.

A Holiday Rate of Pay (Per Hour) is applied if an employee should be paid a different rate for Holiday shifts. It can be added as a Fixed or Percentage Rate Type.

  • The Supervisor's Rate of Pay can be added as a fixed amount or Percentage of Basic Pay. This rate is activated when the shift is set as a supervisor rate in the Roster
  • The Self-Check can be added as a fixed or percentage rate. This will only apply to shifts set as "Self Checker"

  • Set Over Fortnight Limit (Percent) and enter the required percentage. This option is only available when set up in your configuration
  • Allow Night Premium will activate the night premium on the employee's qualifying shifts

The Night Premium is set within the Alkimii Configuration - contact the Customer Success Team to update

  • Once you have added all relevant rates of pay for your Hourly Rate, please ensure you Save
  • A log is available for "Account" level access

  • This will show all changes, when they were made and when they were set to apply

Rates updated in the Staff Profile will become active the next day.
