Backdating Contract Changes

You will only be able to back-date contract changes if you have Alkimii HR Automation and have been set up with the correct access level. If you need support, please contact our customer success team. 

Backdating contracts is used when you may have forgotten to change a contract type on time. Backdating a contract can re-calculate holidays, depending on the contract type selected. This is to adjust the balances in accordance with the correct contract type from a particular start date. 

  • Using the mega menu, navigate to "Staff Profiles"

  • Using the search bar function, locate the employee you wish to update

  • Within their profile at the bottom of the left-hand navigation bar, click the Alkimii icon
  • Select Contract Changes

  • Click on the contract you wish to change by using the pencil icon

  • Under "Start Date" using the date picker select the date you wish to backdate. 

This date must be within the current year. 

  • Save

  • The updated contract date will now be visible
