Staff Profile: Contract Changes

Navigating Contract Changes 

  • Using the menu, navigate to "Staff Profiles". Using the search bar function, locate the employee you wish to update. 
  • Within the staff profile, go to "Contract Changes".  Here you will see a list of any contract changes that have been made within the "Contract" section of the profile. 
  • You can view the period of the change, the contract type, type of holiday accural during the period and the balances. 
  • You will have the ability to edit using the pencil icon. 
  • If there is no "End date" entered, you will also have the ability to delete this change if it was created in error. 

Backdating Contract Changes 

Backdating contracts is used when you may have forgotten to change a contract type on time. Backdating a contract can re-calculate holidays, depending on the contract type selected. This is to adjust the balances in accordance with the correct contract type from a particular start date. 

You will only be able to back-date contract changes if you have Alkimii HR Automation and have been set up with the correct access level. If you need support, please contact our customer success team. 

  • Location the contract you wish to amend and click on the pencil icon


  • Under "Start Date" using the date picker select the date you wish to backdate.

This date must be within the current year. 

  • Click "Save" to enable this change. The updated contract date will now be visible in the list view.
