Prepare for Your Next Check In with Confidence—From Well-being Checks to Appraisals
Preparing for a check-in meeting with your manager offers a unique opportunity to discuss everything from your well-being to job performance and future goals. Whether you're gearing up for a routine job chat, an in-depth appraisal, or a focused well-being check, filling out your check-in form accurately and thoughtfully is the first step to ensuring a productive and meaningful discussion. This article is designed to walk you through the process of completing these forms, whether on desktop or mobile, with ease and confidence.
- You will receive a notification when a Check In has been scheduled. This will also be within your appointments calendar under MySchedule > Appointments
- To begin completing this form, click on the notification on the app home page or go to the bell icon in the top right and open all notifications.
- If you wish to find your Check In, you will be able to locate it within the "Check Ins" feature on the mobile. This is accessible within "More" on the bottom menu bar or you can add this feature to your favourite for quicker access. See our help article for more information on favourites.
- Within Check In's filter by "Pending" to locate the form you wish to action.
- 7 days before the check in, the employee can add their responses to the questions, assess whether they have achieved their goals and score themselves against the core competencies which will then be discussed on the day of the actual Check In meeting.
⚠️ Please Note: Any areas marked with an asterisks must be filled out in order to proceed with the form.
- You will receive reminder notifications 7, 3 and 1 days before your Check In meeting to ensure the form has been completed.
- You will be able to through the Check In at your own pace, saving and coming back to complete the form as needed. Alkimii will save your progress as you go.

If your check in form has been started but not yet complete, you can locate this under the "Check Ins" tool on the mobile and filter by "In Progress".
- Once all the sections have been completed, the employee can "Finish"
- The appraiser will receive a notification that the form has been completed and they can now start reviewing the entries to be discussed on the day of the Check In.
