This article answers common questions about the Alkimii Employee Experience tools - Check Ins, Moments, Surveys & Awards

  • Is Employee Experience included in my package?

Employee Experience is an add on to the standard People tools.

What to do: If you're not sure whether your organisation has this included, contact your senior management team for more information. 

 

  • How is Employee Experience different from the People tools I already use?

People tools (like Roster, Time & Attendance, HR Requests, Leave Requests, Leave Approvals, Shifts) cover the essential day-to-day admin of managing your team. Employee Experience tools (Awards, Check-ins, Moments, Surveys) go a step further, helping you recognise, listen to, and engage your team.

 

  • Will my whole team see this, or just certain roles?

Employee Experience tools are available to everyone, but what you can see and do within each tool depends on your access level.

For example: if you're using Alkimii on mobile, you'll be able to complete a Check-in form, answer a Survey, or vote in an Award. However, you won't be able to create a Check In, Survey or Award yourself, and you won't be able to see anyone else's individual submissions – that level of access is only given to those who need it.

 

  • Where does the information in these tools come from? Do I need to set anything up first?

Yes, some setup is needed before your team can start using certain tools, though defaults are often available to help you get going quickly:

  1. Check-ins: your senior team will need to set up check in templates, core competencies and competency scales. A default template is usually available in the meantime. Get started here 👉 https://apps.alkimii.com/settings/app#/checkins/templates
  2. Surveys: these need to be created and shared with your team before anyone can respond.
  3. Moments: some populate automatically, such as start dates and birthdays. Any other type of Moment needs to be added manually.
  4. Awards: need to be set up before your team can start voting.

 

  • I'm new to this – where do I start?
