Holiday Balance

  • Opening Balances

This is the sum of the previous year's holiday activity. It populates when the holiday year is cut over.

  • Hours Earned

This accrual populates as the payroll weeks are closed. Different contract types accrue annual leave differently.

  • Hours Modifiers

This is the sum of any changes made to a holiday. This figure must be entered as a total of all modifications made throughout the year.

  • Hours Taken

This shows previously taken annual leave along with future rostered shifts in hours format. 

  • Balance

This shows the holiday balance as of now and the current balance net of any future rostered holidays. It does not calculate future accruals. 

  • View log 

This audit holds details of manual changes to holiday balances that have been made. 

It shows who made the adjustment when it was made and the effect the adjustment had.

This view log option is only available on accountant level access. 

  • Eye Icon will show you the accrual log or the holidays taken log for this holiday year. 

  • Annual Leave is accrued differently for each contract type. 
    • Full Time - on Contract Hours
    • Full-Time Variable - on hours worked
    • Part-Time - on hours worked
    • Casual - On Hours worked
    • Restricted Hours - on hours worked
    • Restricted Age - On hours worked
  • If you see "Capped" on this log, this means that the hours accrued in this holiday year have exceeded the maximum allowed per year.

HB CApped

  • If you see "Not Paid" on this log, it means the shifts that have accrued this annual leave are in an open payroll week. Once paid, these hours will accrue into the employee's balance.
