How to cross roster an employee? (V2)

This article provides an overview of cross rostered shifts within Alkimii.

The system allows you to cross roster between departments or multiple sites in your organisation. The process is the same, however, in order to cross roster across multiple sites in your organisation you will need this enabled, please contact our customer success team for support. 

 

  • Navigate to Roster using the menu in the top left corner of Alkimii. If you need to cross-roster into another site, ensure that you are currently in the site where you want to create the roster.
  • To create a cross rostered shift, click on the person icon located beside the department on the left.

  • A pop-up will allow you to select an employee who has been enabled for cross rostering into this department. 
  • Select this user from the dropdown menu

If an employee has been excluded from cross rostering, they will not appear in the dropdown menu. This exclusion is configured in the employee's Staff Profile and is most commonly applied to members of the Management team

  • The user will now appear at the bottom of the department's list of employees on the roster view. Add a shift as per usual, either using presets or manually adding the shift.

  • Once you are happy with the shift, please click "Save" in the top right corner. 
  • This employee will be easily identified on the roster by the arrows appearing next to their name within the cross rostered department. 
  • Within their home department, their own team can see they have been cross rostered into the "accommodation" department.

⚠️ Please be advised that if you cross rostered into a different site, the employee's home department will be able to see the site name appear instead of the department name.
