Is it possible to backdate public holiday accruals for an employee? 

This article will show you how to backdate the Public Holiday accrual in Alkimii.

This access is only available to Human Resources, General Managers and Accountants. 

  • Team
  • Staff → Staff Profiles 
    Staff Profile
  • On the bottom of the left navigation bar, click on the person Icon
  • Select "Contract Changes" from the list
  • In this view, you will be able to see "Accrue Holidays" and "Accrue Public Holidays" at the top. 
  • Beneath this item, you will see a "✔️" or "X" to indicate if accruals are taking place. 
  • If you can see an "X", accruals are not processing
  • To backdate the accruals, you will need to update the period start date to any date before the public holiday ( we advise always setting it to the contract start date to guarantee full accruals) 

You must be in an open payroll week to backdate the accruals. 

    • Click on the pencil icon to the right to edit the contract accruals 
    • tick both "Accrue Holidays" and "Accrue Public Holidays"
    • Save
  • Public Holidays will now be available for this employee for the time period.
