Approve/Decline a leave request on Mobile

Streamlined Control: Step-by-Step Instructions for Managing Pending Leave Requests with Precision

Welcome to a guide that puts managerial control right at your fingertips—introducing "Mobile Empowerment: Navigating Leave Request Approvals on the Go." In today's dynamic work environment, the ability to efficiently manage team leave requests is a game-changer. This article is designed to empower managers with the knowledge and tools to seamlessly review and approve/decline leave requests, all from the convenience of their mobile devices.

  • Open the Alkimii App on mobile and navigate to "Leave Request Approvals"

  • Locate the employee's request using the search bar function and filters or scroll through the list of pending requests on your mobile device. 
  • Click on the leave request card you wish to review. 

  • You will be redirected to a screen displaying the employee's profile details, balances and pending requests.
  • If the employee has left any notes in addition to the leave request, this will appear beneath the requested date.

  • You can change the type of leave on the request modal if needed.
  • If you need to extend or reduce the hours paid out to the employee for this date you can update this figure.

  • If another employee within the same department is also off on any of the requested dates, you will see a disclaimer to ensure adequate cover for the department.

  • To see who else is on leave, you can select the "Others on leave" dropdown menu. 
  • If this is a single leave request, you can simply select "Approve 1 pending request" or "Decline" on the request.
  • If there are multiple leave requests, you can individually "Approve" or "Decline" each request or you can batch "Approve X pending requests" or "Decline requests". 

You do not have to approve all requests in one go. You can approve each request on an individual level at any time. 

  • You can leave a note for the employee if you need to decline any leave request they have submitted to provide any context for the rejection.
