Resolving Blank Fillable Fields in PDFs: Fixing Issues and Creating Usable Documents

It can be incredibly frustrating when you've diligently filled out a PDF document (template) with all your essential information, only to discover that the fillable fields appear blank when you post it to the newsfeed. This issue often arises when the PDF is filled using software other than Adobe Acrobat, such as a web browser or alternative PDF editing tools. Fortunately, there's a solution that doesn't require starting from scratch. In this article, we'll guide you through the process of resolving blank fillable fields in PDFs and creating usable, properly populated documents.

Saving an Editable PDF on Microsoft 

  • Open your PDF document 
  • In the top right corner, click on the "Printer" icon 
  • Beside "Destination", use the dropdown menu to select "Microsoft Print to PDF"
  • In the bottom right of the window, click "Print"
  • It will ask you to give the file a title and to select a location to save it to
  • Now when you open the PDF document, all missing fields will appear
