This article will show you how to increase the public holiday's entitlement to match the hours an employee worked on the day of a public holiday.
This option is normally used for Casual Contract Employees.
- After you have run your Auto-roster for the Public Holiday
- Navigate to the Week Roster Screen
- Click on the shift rostered on the day of the Public Holiday for the employee
- Edit the shift times to extend the rostered time to match the hours work.
For example:
A casual employee has earned a 3 Hour Public Holiday entitlement (based on the average hours over 13 weeks), they worked 5 hours on the day of the Public holiday and you want to match their paid PublicHoliday to their 5 hours worked. You edit the three-hour auto-rostered Public Holiday shift, change the duration to 5 hours and save the shift. This will save the additional 2 hours of Public Holiday entitlement to the employee's profile.
- If you are happy with your update, click Save Shift Anyway
- Alkimii save the additional time given to the employee in the auto-rostered Public Holiday Shift and in the Employee profile under Holiday > Holiday Balances → "Autorsoter Adjustments"
- Once amended, an "!" will appear beside the figure detailing the changes that have been made.
