How to create a Productivity Standard?

Alkimii Productivity is designed to optimise workforce efficiency by streamlining rostering and providing actionable insights into labour management.

By setting clear productivity standards, you gain a data-driven approach to staffing, ensuring you have the right number of employees in place at the right time. These insights are directly linked to forecasted demand, helping you maintain operational efficiency while maximising workforce effectiveness.

💡 If this is your first time creating standard, review our key components guide for support

  • To create a new standard, click "Create Standard" in the top right of the screen
  • You will need to determine whether this is a variable or fixed standard. This cannot be changed once saved so be mindful of this selection.
    • Fixed: A set number of hours is required for this job title regardless of demand. For example, as long as you are open, a specific number of hours must be assigned to this role.
    • Variable: Hours are determined based on fluctuating demand, allowing for a more dynamic staffing approach.
  • Next, set this as live or test. If this is set to Live, this will be actively advising your supervisors once you click save. Whereas, test can be configure to see how it would perform against your live options on a given week.
  • The site will auto populate to the site you are currently in. If this applies to a different site within your organisation, you can amend this to the correct site.
  • Select the job title from the dropdown list. These titles have been set up within the app settings of Alkimii - if you need help to create job titles, see more information here. This is a mandatory field so you will not be able to save without selecting this.

  • Enter the basis - this represents your forecasting metrics within Alkimii, such as expected revenues, arrivals, departures, and other key indicators. Choose all applicable metrics from the dropdown menu. Again this is a mandatory field so you will not be able to save without selecting this.
  • You have the option to select a serving period, if this standard is specific to a period of time in the day. For example, Breakfast (05:00-11:00)
  • Enter the daily hours and minutes. The hours are mandatory with the option to add minutes if applicable.
  • Enter the range lower bound and upper bound, this is mandatory. For example, expected departures may range from 100–150, or bar revenue projections may fall between €1,500–€2,000.
  • Enter the hourly rate applicable to the standard, this is mandatory.
  • Select the effective date from - you can set start dates to go live in the future.  You will also have the option to apply an effective until - should the standard only be seasonal. If the effective until has been left blank this will never expire.
  • Select the days of the week that this standard should apply on.
  • Once satisfied, click "Save" to create the standard.
