How to complete a check in as an employee?

Preparing for a check-in meeting with your manager offers a unique opportunity to discuss everything from your well-being to job performance and future goals. Whether you're gearing up for a routine job chat, an in-depth appraisal, or a focused well-being check, filling out your check-in form accurately and thoughtfully is the first step to ensuring a productive and meaningful discussion. This article is designed to walk you through the process of completing these forms, whether on desktop or mobile, with ease and confidence.

Completing a Check In (Desktop) 

  • If you are a frequent user of Alkimii on the desktop you can complete the Check In here. 
  • You will receive a notification when a Check In has been scheduled. To begin completing this form, click on the notification. 

⚠️ Please Note: you will only be able to fill out the Check In form 7 days prior to the Check In date. If you click the notification sooner, you will not be able to complete the form. 

  • If you wish to find your Check In, you will be able to locate it within the MyAlkimii area on the desktop.

  • 7 days before the check in, the employee can add their entries for the questions, assess whether they have achieved their goals and score themselves against the core competencies which will then be discussed on the day of the actual Check In meeting. 

Section 1: Questions 

  • Your responses may need to be numerical; text based or rating . 

Section 2: Goals 

  • Mark as achieved or not achieved
  • You can leave comments under each goal if you wish to clarify anything. 

Section 3: Core Competencies 

  • Rate yourself on the competencies using the scale options
  • Depending on the form set up you may also be able to add additional comments one each competency for your manager to discuss.

  • Once all the sections have been completed, the employee can "Submit" 

  • The appraiser will receive a notification that the form has been completed and they can now start reviewing the entries to be discussed on the day of the Check In.
