AI Maintenance (Beta) 

This article will walk through the key steps and common questions around using Alkimii's new AI Maintenance feature. 

What is AI Maintenance? 

AI Maintenance in Alkimii is a smart new feature designed to make reporting maintenance tasks quicker, easier, and more accurate.

Instead of manually writing out the details of a task, you can now simply take a photo of the problem, whether it's a broken light, damaged furniture, or something leaking. Alkimii's AI will analyse the image and suggest a list of possible issue titles and descriptions that match what it sees. This saves time, ensures clarity, and helps your maintenance team act faster with better context.

⚠️Please note: The experience may look slightly different on iPhone and Android devices 

 

How do I flag a maintenance task using the Alkimii app? 

  1. Tap the blue ‘+’ icon
    On the bottom centre of your screen, tap the blue icon to start flagging a maintenance issue.

  2. Choose your input method

    You’ll be asked whether you want to create a Photo Maintenance or Voice Maintenance task.

    Choose the option that suits your situation.

Photo Maintenance 

  • Capture a photo of the issue
    You’ll be prompted to take a photo of the item or area that needs attention.

  • Select the location
    After taking the photo, you’ll be asked to choose the relevant location within your property.
  • AI suggests task details
    Alkimii’s AI will analyse the image and offer a list of suggested titles and descriptions based on what it sees. Simply select the most relevant one.

  • Create the task
    Once you've confirmed the details, tap "Create Task" to add it to your maintenance list.
  • Assign the task (optional)
    After the task is created, you'll be asked if you'd like to assign it right away. If yes, you can add more details such as:

    • Category,  Priority level,  Due date,  Assigned team member(s), any comments or instructions

    • If not, you can choose to skip and assign it later.

Voice Maintenance 

  • Record the audio description
    Press and hold to record your audio description of the task 

💡Top Tip: Make sure to mention the location that you are in. 

  • AI suggests task details
    Alkimii’s AI will analyse the audio and offer a suggested title, description and location based on what you've said. If the details need to be amended you can do so within this window.
  • Save task
    Once you've confirmed the details, tap "Save Task" to add it to your maintenance list.
  • Assign the task (optional)
    After the task is created, you'll be asked if you'd like to assign it right away. If yes, you can add more details such as:

    • Category,  Priority level,  Due date,  Assigned team member(s), any comments or instructions

    • If not, you can choose to skip and assign it later.

 

 

How do I edit the task?
