Safeguarding Your Data: Understanding Sensitive Data Access and Customizing Your Preferences

In today's data-driven landscape, the protection of sensitive information is paramount. This article is crafted to empower users with a deep understanding of sensitive data access and provides step-by-step instructions on how to customize your preferences when accessing this data using passcodes or passwords.

What is Sensitive Data Access?

Within Alkimii, particularly in secure zones like the myAlkimii area, you'll encounter an extra layer of protection for sensitive data. To ensure that it's indeed you seeking access to this information, the system will prompt you to input either a password or a code. This is currently defaulted to "password" for all users.

Is it possible to modify this prompt to request an alternative form of validation instead of my password?

Yes, if you wish to have a higher level of security on Alkimii we can modify the form of validation to a code. This code will be sent to your email address and you will need to enter this code to access the sensitive information area.

If you have set up the code to be sent to you please ensure that you don't have a rule on your mailbox to block updates@alkimii.com emails!

If you wish to modify your form of validation, please contact our customer success team at hello@alkimii.com

What does the error message mean?

When you authenticate your access to sensitive data by entering the password or code, the validation will have a 30-minute expiration. A warning message will prompt you before the access expires, offering you the option to extend it if necessary.
