Quickly Track and Retrieve Lost Items to Enhance Customer Satisfaction
Keeping track of lost and found items can be a daunting task, but Alkimii's lost & found feature is here to simplify the process. This feature allows you to efficiently log any items handed in, ensuring that when a guest comes forward, you can quickly and easily check if their lost item has been found. In this article, we'll show you how to use this feature to enhance your customer service, making it easier to manage lost items and improve guest satisfaction. Whether you're new to the system or looking to streamline your existing process, this article will provide you with the necessary steps to effectively handle lost and found items.

How to add a lost & found item?
- Using the menu, navigate to Property > Lost & Found
- In the top right of the screen select "Add Lost & Found item"
- A pop-up will prompt you to enter the details of the item including the title, and site which will default to the site you are currently in, the location where it was found, the status as to whether it's a lost item reported or an item that has been found and handed in.
- You can also add any notes into the free text field that other employees can use as references.
- If you wish to upload any attachments, drag and drop the files from your system into the upload box.
- Click save to create this entry.
How do you update the status of an item logged as lost and found?
- Locate the lost and found item from the list using the filter options or search bar
- Under the actions column of the item, select the pencil icon to edit the entry
- If a lost item has been handed into the site, you can update the status to "Found" and the date will auto-populate to the current date.
- If the item has been returned to the owner, you can select "Returned" from the status options at the top of the modal
How do you search and filter for a specific item?
- Using the menu, navigate to Property > Lost & Found
- On the left, you will see "Filters", select the dropdown.
- To enable a filter, tick the checkbox, this will populate the option along the top navigation bar. To disable a filter, simply untick the checkbox and this will disappear from the top navigation bar.
- Once the filter has been enabled, you can select it and choose the items from the dropdown menus.
