Import the Forecast into Alkimii

How to Import the Forecast into Alkimii?

Step 1: Download the Template

First things first, you will need to use a template from Alkimii in order for the import to work succesfully in the system. This template will include the department names; Alkimii ID's and date range.

  • Open the forecast using the menu search bar in the top left of Alkimii. The week will default to the current week
  • If you wish to import the forecast for a week, fortnight or month in the future, click "Export" in the top right and use the calendar function to select the date range.

  • Once you are happy with the date range, click "Download". This will download the Alkimii template into an excel file.

Step 2: Import into Alkimii

  • Open this file on your desktop. Please do not make any changes to the department name, Alkimii ID and date ranges.
  • You can filter the file to only show the rows with Alkimii IDs, to speed up your data entry as these are the figures that will be imported.
  • Enter the forecast figures into the rows that contain an ID within the Excel sheet. Once you are happy with your entry, save this file.

  • Now, back in the Alkimii Forecast window, click the "Import" in the top right and select "Alkimii". This will open your file system on your desktop, locate the Excel file and click on it, then click open in the bottom right corner.
  • This will upload the Excel file into the forecast for the week selected.

Once imported, the file will automatically update and save within the forecast. You can view the timestamp, including the date and time of the last update, in the bottom right corner of the department forecast.
