Freezing the Forecast

Freezing the forecast allows you to lock in the forecasted figures and uses them to compare to actual data. The forecast needs to be frozen for rosters to published

How to Freeze the Forecast

Freezing the forecast saves your budget figures for the week. This lets you compare your planned figures with your actual results later. When you freeze the forecast, the roster for that week is also published.

⚠️ Before you start: You need permission to freeze the forecast. If you cannot see the “Freeze forecast” button, please speak to your manager or system administrator.

 

How to freeze the forecast

  1. Using the menu, go to “Revenue Property Dashboard”.
  2. Click “Budget” from the headers at the top of the page.
  3. Use the calendar in the top left corner to choose the week you want to freeze.
  4. In the top right corner, click the “Freeze forecast” button.
  5. A pop-up window will open. Check that the dates at the top of the window are correct. If you need a different week, use the arrows (< or >) to move backwards or forwards.
  6. Review the summary at the top of the window. It shows:
    1. Weekly Roster: the start date of the week
    2. Published: the date the roster was published
    3. Frozen: the date the forecast was frozen
    4. Paid: the date the week was paid
    5. A dash (-) means this has not happened yet.
  7. Below the summary, you will see a list of your departments and whether each one has been published.
  8. When you are ready, click the “Freeze” button in the bottom right corner of the window.

What happens next

Once the forecast is frozen, the roster for that week is published automatically for your site. If your team members have the mobile app, they can now see their roster in the “MySchedule” area.

💡 Tip: You can unfreeze the forecast if something major changes. However, to keep your data accurate, we recommend that you only freeze the forecast once for each week.

How to unfreeze the forecast

  1. Go to “Revenue Property Dashboard” and click “Budget”.
  2. Use the calendar to choose the correct week.
  3. Click the “Freeze forecast” button in the top right corner.
  4. In the pop-up window, check the dates are correct, then click “Unfreeze”.
