Clock Messages

Enhancing Workforce Interaction with Personalised Clock-In/Out Messages for Seamless Employee Engagement.

In the hospitality industry, effective communication with employees is crucial for maintaining smooth operations and high morale. Our latest feature allows you to create customisable clock messages that appear when an employee clocks in or out on the mobile app or on the iPad. This innovative tool not only personalises the clock-in/out experience but also provides an efficient way to convey important information, reminders, and motivational messages. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to configure these messages, ensuring your team stays informed and engaged with minimal effort.

  • Using the menu, search for "Clock Messages" 
  • Your default view will show you the current "Clock In" and "Clock Out" messages followed by a list of all messages created for your site. 

Navigation 

  • Like all areas in Alkimii you can filter your clock messages by the "Usage" or "Kind" dropdown menus. 
  • To view these filters, simply click "Filters" and tick the checkbox. The filter options will now appear along the top navigation bar, ready for use. 
  • You can also save any commonly used views. Once the filters have been applied navigate to the 3 vetical dots on the right of your screen. 
  • Select "Save Views" and give your view a title. You will see the applied filters for reference. You can also set this view as your default if it you frequently search for these messages. 
  • Once you are satisfied, click "Save". This is now ready for use under the "Saved Views" dropdown on the left of your navigation bar. 
  • To remove any clock message you no longer wish to appear, you can click on the "x" beside the message title. 

 

Create a Clock Message 

  • In the top right corner, click "Create Clock Message" 
  • Select the message type from the dropdown menu - message, yes/no choice, likert 
  • Add the text into the message box (up to 280 characters)
  • Set the usage whether its "Not in Use" , "Clock In" or "Clock Out"

  • Click "Save" to create your message 
  • If you have opted to set this as either a clock in or out message, it will populate under the relevant column at the top of the page. 

You can add up to 5 clock messages to appear upon clock in or out. These messages can include reminders and questions.

 

Editing/Enabling an Existing Clock Message 

  • Under the actions column, click on the pencil icon. 

  • This will bring up the clock message builder. Here you can edit the text that will display in the message. 

You will not be able to edit a clock message text or kind that includes a poll element which has already been answered. 

  • If you need to update the usage status from "Not in Use" to "Clock In" or "Clock Out", select the option from the dropdown menu. 
  • If you wish to disable a clock in message, change the usage status to "Not in Use"

  • International days of celebration such as e.g. earth day, diversity day, international women's day, world downsyndrome awareness day, world austism awareness day, world book day  

You will be able to export a CSV download for results on any poll element clock messages. Click on the download as CSV in the top right of the results window.
