Alkimii Insights: Comp Sets
The Comp Set dashboard in Alkimii Insights lets you compare your property's performance against similar hotels across key metrics including pay, turnover, finance, and productivity. This article explains how to get your Comp Set configured, what the setup process involves, and how to get the most out of your dashboard once it is ready.
What is a Comp Set?
A Comp Set (competitive set) is a custom benchmarking dashboard built for your property inside Alkimii Insights. It lets you compare your hotel's performance across key metrics against a group of similar properties, giving you a clearer picture of where you stand in the market.
Each Comp Set is configured specifically for your property by the Alkimii team based on criteria you provide.
Getting Your Comp Set Configured
To request a Comp Set, you will need to submit this Form to let us know what comparison criteria you would like to use, for example specific regions or property types.
To build your Comp Set we will need you to provide five organisations, each with one hotel. Each of these organisations must be signed up to Alkimii's data sharing agreement. If any of the organisations on your list have not signed up, we will come back to you to find suitable replacements before we can proceed.
Once we have a confirmed and complete list, our team will build the dashboard for you. You will receive an email when it is ready to view. Please note that turnaround time can vary depending on data integrity checks and the availability of confirmed participating organisations, so the more accurate and complete your initial list, the smoother the process.
Accessing Your Comp Set Dashboard
On desktop, open Alkimii and navigate to Insights from the main menu. Your Comp Set will be available within your dashboard view.
Access to Insights is licence-based, so only users with an Insights licence on your account will be able to view this dashboard.
Navigating the Dashboard
At the top of the dashboard you can filter the data by selecting a start date and end date to define the time period you want to review.
The dashboard is organised into five tabs, each covering a different area of performance. Select the tab you want to view:
Pay Rates Absenteeism and Illness Turnover and Hiring Finance Productivity
Each tab follows the same layout. At the top you will find a description explaining the end date used and how the figures have been calculated. This is followed by key KPIs displayed as your hotel's figure, the comp set average, and the variance between them. Below the KPIs you will find a bar chart and a table giving you a more detailed breakdown by job type.
👉 Note: You will only ever see job types in the breakdown, never individual site or hotel names.
