New Week Roster
Our brand-new Week Roster is officially launched. This update is designed to make your rostering process smoother, faster, and more efficient, based on extensive testing and your valuable feedback.
Here are some important changes:
- Easy switching between week, two-week, and monthly views.
- Effortless weekly cost report exports.
- The ability to add notes for specific days, time periods, or individual users.
- Quick access to warning shifts, total shifts, and headcount.
- Reorganise departments or users with just a few clicks.
- Enhanced Shift Presets and the ability to duplicate shifts across multiple days.
- Access user leave details directly from the roster page.

Introducing Break Notifications
We’re excited to announce Break Notifications, a highly requested feature that ensures employees never miss their scheduled breaks. If an employee has passed the set amount of time after which their break is due, they’ll receive a reminder notification to remind them to take the break.
This notification is based on your site's break rules and can be customised or turned off for individual employees through their HR profile. It will be enabled by default, but employees can adjust their preferences in the People Notifications settings.

Mobile Holidays and Birthday Widgets Now Available!
We’re excited to introduce two fantastic new widgets on your Alkimii mobile homepage, making it even easier to stay on top of your schedule!
- Holiday Widget: Now, you can easily see your upcoming leaves and view your leave balances in days right from your mobile homepage. It’s a simple way to keep track of your leave and plan ahead with ease.
- Birthday Widget: If it’s your birthday and you open the Alkimii mobile app, you’ll now receive a special Happy Birthday wish from both your team and from all of us at Alkimii!
These new features are designed to make your Alkimii experience even more engaging and convenient. Stay on top of your leave and celebrate your special day with a smile! 🎉

Holiday Balances Now Available in Days
We’re pleased to announce that holiday balances are now available in days on both mobile and web! You can easily select your preferred display option while viewing your holiday balances:
- On Mobile: If you want to view your balance in days instead of hours, simply click on the pink and purple bubbles to adjust your balance.
- On Web: To switch between days and hours, simply click the balance icon to have this updated.

New Staff Profile: Leave Module
Whether you're setting up maternity leave, long-term sick leave, career breaks, or any other form of extended absence, our new module has you covered. With this functionality, you can easily configure leaves for specific durations, set up repeats for certain days of the week, and define start and end dates for each leave period. This comprehensive feature ensures seamless management of various types of leaves, empowering you to handle absences with ease.
Use Cases:
- An employee is planning a sabbatical for three months. With our Leave Module, HR can easily set up the leave, specifying the duration, frequency, and start/end dates.
- An employee has a personal commitment that prevents them from working on Mondays for the next six weeks. Using the new Leave Module, the HR Manager selects the option to create a new leave, inputs the duration as six weeks, and indicates that it repeats every Monday.
This new feature provides both employees and HR teams with clear visibility and effective management of leave requests, ensuring smooth operations during absences.
